Training for our Communities

NWMHC believes that health includes mental health. Our hope is that one day, seeking help for mental health and substance use disorders will be as routine as seeking help from a physician for on-going diabetes care or going to the dentist for a cleaning and check-up. One tool in helping to reduce stigma and creating comprehensive community networks of support for individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use disorder challenges is through education and training.

Over the years, NWMHC has prepared and offered training on a variety of topics to other agencies and community groups in our region. Some of our more recent training topics are listed below:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Safe Zone Training
  • Self-Care Practices for Caregivers
  • Suicide Awareness
  • Trauma-Informed Care

The diverse team at NWMHC may have the expertise to develop and deliver a training customized to your agency's needs.
