“During my eight years as a registered nurse in a critical access hospital/emergency room, I noticed the great need for mental health care. I was inspired to advance my degree and become a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I want to help people achieve a high quality of life that is fulfilling for them. My approach to treatment is holistic and I consider the biological, psychological, and social aspects of each individual I work with. I believe that knowledge is power, and it is important to me that my clients are educated about all areas of their care. I hope to be part of the solution to the mental health disparities seen in the rural setting and help reduce stigma associated with mental illness.”
