Heather Taylor, MA, LPCC

Mental Health Professional

Location: West Polk CARE Team, East Grand Forks Schools

"I have 20+ years of experience working in the mental health field, providing individual, couples, group and family therapy. I am lucky to have worked in various home, school, hospital and community-based settings. My greatest passion lies in working with children and families. Helping others identify personalized goals, and match their actions/behaviors to their core beliefs and values, is extremely rewarding. Each child and family is different, which keeps me learning every day!
Through a warm, relational, compassionate, and strengths-based approach, I meet clients where they are at, using evidence-based practices such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-CBT, Managing and Adapting Practices (MAPS), and Motivational Interviewing, as well as aspects of Art, Play, & Family Systems Therapy. I firmly believe that building upon a child’s strengths to create positive relationships and a trusting environment is key!"
